Fallbrook Beautification Alliance ProjectsAs an unincorporated area without a maintenance district, The Fallbrook Beautification Alliance (FBA) was formed to maintain and beautify our community. Volunteer committee members of the FBA put in countless hours on the following projects: Beautiful Landscape Awards -- A new FBA program this year, the annual awards will recognize homeowners, renters, apartment owners, business and non-profit organizations who beautify their properties. Click here for details and click here for the application Beech Street Park -- The refurbishing of our community park continues with new fencing, repaired pathways and new plant materials. This park is the site of annual Earth Day activities for nearby school children. Our goal is to develop display gardens where students will learn about water-wise irrigation and plant materials. Downtown Flower Pot Project -- The downtown flower pot project will be completed this year and will provide six blocks of beautifully planted flower pots along Main Street between Fig and Ivy Streets. The 116 pots will be maintained by members of the Fallbrook Garden Club. This partnership is an example of the mission of the FBA, bringing community partners together to beautify our community. Pico Promenade -- A major cleanup of the creek bed that runs along the Pico Promenade was recently completed by the county. Volunteers continue to work with local school children planting natives and California-friendly plants along the paths of the promenade. North and South Mission Medians -- We will begin adding more “color” plants to the Mission medians to give them the WOW factor. Maintenance of Public Art -- Committee members regularly clean and maintain 16 bronze works of art in the community in addition to maintaining 6 murals. |
