2012 Award Winners

The Fallbrook Beautification Alliance (FBA) is pleased to announce the winners of the Fallbrook 2012 Landscape Award. The program was established in 2008, is designed to recognize the efforts of individuals and organizations that contribute to community pride through excellence in landscaping, beautification and continued property maintenance. Nominations were received in four categories this year.

A panel of volunteer judges visit each of the nominated properties to select one winner from each category. All submissions had to be visible by the public from the street and the sites were judged on the plants used, landscape design, and maintenance, and how the landscape complements the structural features of the location.

The Residential winner is Renee and Mark Jann, 2442 Arabian Trails. A peaceful lawn reaches from the house to dry set rock wells and planting areas to set off a beautiful display of aloe, palm, cacti, succulents, bird of paradise and other plants from South Africa. Some stand stately, some gracefully twist into unique forms, but all display a harmonious blend of green and textures. These dramatic plants are softened with a splash of pink rosea meandering along the road. The photo includes Mark Jann, Renee Jann and Sue Conroy presenting the certificate.
