“BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE AWARD”

RULES/PROCEDURES

GOAL: The goal of this program is to encourage community pride through attractive landscaping to complement the structure.

This program is designed to recognize the efforts of single or multi-family residences, non-profit agencies, and businesses that contribute to the community pride of Fallbrook through continued property maintenance, façade renovation, with special focus on landscaping, to enhance the appearance of their properties.

The Fallbrook Beautification Alliance will recognize the following:
RESIDENTIAL: The overall appearance of the visible street front property.

MULTI-FAMILY DEVELOPMENT: The overall appearance of the visible street front common grounds of apartments, Condos and Residential Developments .

COMMERCIAL:
The overall appearance of visible street front grounds at mini-malls, restaurants, gas stations and other retail and manufacturing businesses.

NON-PROFIT AGENCIES: The overall appearance of visible street front grounds at schools, churches, museums, parks and other non-profit agencies.

RULES:
  1. To be eligible, projects must be located in the Fallbrook (92028) area and visually or physically accessible to the general public.

  2. Properties may be nominated for the annual award as often as warranted, but they cannot be selected as winners within two years of the last win.

  3. Nominations for these annual awards are submitted in the Spring to the FBA Awards Committee. Three finalists will be selected from each category and the panel of volunteer judges will select the winners in June. Judges decisions are final.

  4. No member of the FBA executive board, advisory board, or panel of judges will be eligible to receive an award.

  5. Eligible projects may include by are not limited to:
  6. * Landscaping and planting
    * Innovative and sustainable landscaping
    * Neighborhood conservation
    * Architectural design
    * Citizen’s initiatives to beautify the public realm
    * Historic preservation
    * Litter and graffiti reduction
    * Open space, park enhancements
    * Commercial district enhancements
    * Public Art

  7. Winners must agree to placement of the “winner” sign on their property and the publishing of their address.

Winners will receive a framed certificate. A recognition sign will be placed on their property for 60 days in addition to publicity in the Fallbrook Village News, North County Times, FBA web site and other forms of recognition. This award will be given out only when a property warrants recognition and is the sole decision of the volunteer judges.
